Are Supplies Limited?

The amount of heating oil available at this low pricing is limited and will be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis. Prices are subject to change without notice and the only way to lock in the price posted is to place an order. Once your order is placed, you’ll receive an email confirmation and your oil will be delivered within 48 hours. If the posted current available inventory is 0, that means that we do not have any oil in stock at that moment.

Can I order over the phone?

No, only online orders are accepted.

Is my payment information safe?

Yes, OverstockOil.com is a secure website and your payment information is protected.

Can I place an order for an emergency delivery?

Yes, however emergency deliveries and service appointments are subject to additional fees. Please call our Emergency Line at 516-246-2126.

How long will it take to receive my oil?

We do our best to schedule all orders within 48 hours from the time the order is placed, however during peak months delivery may take longer. Please order well in advance so you don’t run out. The driver will leave your receipt in your mailbox.

Is there a fee to join your service?

There’s no fee to use the service.

  1. By paying with a credit or debit card you don’t need to wait home all day for the oil truck

What if my oil tank takes less gallons than what I ordered?

Your total will be adjusted and you’ll only be charged for the number of gallons you received. Please keep in mind that if your tank took less gallons than what you ordered your price per gallon will be adjusted in accordance to the posted price at the time of your order.

Can you fill up my tank?

Yes, please select the Fillup option during checkout.

If I place an order and the price changes afterwards, will I get charged more/less?

No, once you order your price is locked in and the number of gallons you ordered are allocated to you. You will not get charged more if prices go up, or get charged less if prices go down.

Who will deliver my oil?

We do not post our dealer names because, by contract, we are not allowed to disclose them. While they are willing to offer deeply discounted prices to our members, our dealers have their own full-price customers and do not wish to undercut their other business.

We work hard to make sure our dealers are delivering outstanding service. When we add a new heating oil dealer to our network, we check with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General’s office to investigate their company history.

We will work with you and the oil dealers directly if any issues arise, and ensure that it’s resolved to your satisfaction.

Do you deliver Biodiesel?

Biodiesel is a type of diesel fuel manufactured from vegetable oils, animal fats, or recycled restaurant greases called B20 (20% biodiesel, 80% regular heating oil) blend.

We do not deliver biodiesel because it sometimes clogs your lines and it also provides less heat than regular #2 heating oil.

We only deliver high quality #2 heating oil.

Can I lock, fix, cap or pre-buy?

No, we do not offer cap prices because consumers get the best possible price if they pay the price of the day without the added expense of the insurance built into a locked-in price or a deal to buy oil up front.

Do you provide full service?

Yes, all of our dealers are full service companies and can maintain, repair, and evaluate your heating system and respond to emergencies 24/7.

How Are You Able to Get Such Low Heating Oil Pricing?

Many heating oil companies pre-order their oil in contracts from wholesale suppliers. Wholesale contracts are agreements between a wholesaler and a purchaser (in this case a heating oil company). This contract guarantees that the oil company will have a steady supply and it sets the price to be paid. Term length of fuel contracts can vary a great deal – from a few days to a few years.

The oil company is obligated to purchase a certain number of gallons within the contract period.

When the oil company is unable to fulfill their contract and sell all of the heating oil they agreed to buy, they are willing to sell off the remaining inventory at a very low price.

You’ll be getting the same high quality heating oil as the oil company’s full service customers, but at a fraction of the cost!
